St. Bernard/St. Francis Food Pantry is a non-profit, non-sectarian, equal opportunity organization that serves the needy of St. Martin Parish. The Pantry receives food from the annual December FoodNet Food Drive, from Second Harvest Food Bank in Lafayette, from other food drives in the Parish, and from other organizations and individuals.

CalFresh is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table.
CalWORKs is a public assistance program that provides cash aid and services to eligible families that have a child(ren) in the home. The program serves all 58 counties in the state and is operated locally by county welfare departments.

Meals on Wheels Long Beach (MOWLB) provides a service of home delivered nutritionally balanced meals for individuals who are unable to shop and cook for themselves and who live alone.
During the pandemic, MOWLB will continue operations with modifications to the “friendly visit” aspect of the meal deliveries. They will continue providing fresh hot dinners and cold lunches for clients, without interruption, for the immediate future.
Serving the SoCal region for over 45 years, the Foodbank of Southern California consists of over 700 certified charitable community agencies that care for hungry people in need from all walks of life. Together with their counterpart, LA Regional Food Bank, they serve the region through the support of USDA and the county’s department of social services to distribute food among their member agencies
The Long Beach Unified School District offers free meals through its Summer Meal Site program in partnership with the City of Long Department of Parks, Recreation, and Marine.
From Monday, June 15 through Friday, Aug. 21, grab-and-go lunches are available to any youth ages 1 to 18 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at more than 30 sites throughout the city. These meals are intended to continue supporting the daily nourishment of children during the summer break from school.
