TESTING FOR CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019

If you are experiencing any symptoms associated with COVID-19, stay at home and contact your medical provider. If you do not have a primary care doctor, contact the City’s Public Health Info Line at (562) 570-INFO (4636). You can also learn more about the symptoms of COVID-19 and how to care for yourself or someone in your home. See below for available testing options.

Long Beach Testing Sites

Free diagnostic testing in Long Beach is available for anyone interested in getting testing for COVID-19.

If employees do not have symptoms and have not had any recent close contact with someone who has COVID-19, they do not need to get tested before returning to work. Businesses that do require that their employees be tested should work with their insurance providers or private testing organizations to provide this testing for employees.

Appointments required: Appointments can be made online and are prioritized for those 65 years or older; individuals with underlying chronic health conditions; and first responders, critical government workers, grocery workers, and health care professionals. Individuals who do not have access to the Internet or need assistance making an appointment online can call the City’s InfoLine at (562)570-INFO (4636) (open Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm).

Most test results will be processed within 72 hours.
