We are saddened today to report Long Beach had three additional deaths related to COVID-19, bringing our total to six. All three were in their 80s with underlying health conditions. Our love and prayers go out to their families and friends. These losses bring into focus the importance of our Safer at Home order and that we have to do all we can to stay healthy.
Here’s the latest update here in Long Beach:
- 256 positive results, including approximately 87 cases where people have recovered.
- Three more deaths have been reported, bringing the total to six. The three new fatalities, one man and two women, were all in their 80s with underlying health conditions.
- Positive cases confirmed at long-term care facilities in the City will only be posted at: longbeach.gov/COVID19 under COVID-19 Updates.
Today’s Highlights:
- On April 6, the City of Long Beach launched a Rapid Assessment Clinic to provide medical assistance to people who might otherwise feel compelled to visit an emergency room for their medical conditions.
